SUMMARY:Farmer’s Market Benefit Cards
DESCRIPTION:The St. Martin Council on Aging currently has 74 slots available for seniors aged 60 and older who would like to receive a free supply of fruits and vegetables from a local fruit stand. Individuals must have forms completed by a case manager. Farmer’s Market benefit cards will then be mailed to their home address. Cards can be used to purchase fruits and vegetables at any fruit stand that accepts them. Individuals who have already received forms must meet with a COA case manager to have them signed and stamped before receiving benefit cards. The deadline to apply is September 20. Benefit cards are available only to seniors who reside in St. Martin Parish. \nFor more information\, or to schedule an appointment\, contact the Council on Aging at (337)332-3063.
